DESCRIBE YOUR FACILITY.
MMA is located alongside the Cape Cod Canal and Buzzard Bay. The campers live in the school dormitories, and eat the same meals as the cadets in the school cafeteria. The campers can eat as
much food as they wish at each and every meal! We have use of the gym all day, along with 10 outdoor courts.
Another feature is the indoor olympic-size swimming pool that we can
use each day.
CAN I BRING MY PET TO MOVE IN?
No. Pets are not allowed in the dorms.
ARE PHYSICALS REQUIRED?
Yes. It is a state law that all campers and coaches must provide a copy of a recent physical We are in compliance with state law, and are under the jurisdiction of the Bourne Board of Health. All our coaches must have both a CORI and SORI background check to be employed at camp.
DESCRIBE SECURITY AT CAMP.
MMA police are located on campus and are available to us for any and all emergencies. Our staff includes coaches whose responsibility is dorm coverage. They are in the dorms for 24 hours each day. We have coaches assigned rooms on each and every floor that campers stay. Each night a coach is assigned coverage on each and every floor and is responsible for the safety of the campers. Our staff includes 3 certified trainers each week. They are responsible for the health and well-being of all campers.
CAN PLAYERS BRING FOOD AND SNACKS TO CAMP?
Absolutely. We also recommend that players bring water, or water containers. We have numerous water stations set up near the outdoor courts with cups available. It is easier and healthier if the players have their own containers.
ARE ROOMMATES ASSIGNED?
By request. On the application there is a line were campers can request their roommates. Two per room is requested, but the Academy does allow us to put three in a room. If a player does not request a roommate, we try to find a roommate that they can room with. It is very common for players to meet new friends at camp and request them as roommates during
the week. Also, we room players from the same towns on the same floor in adjoining rooms.
WHAT DO I BRING TO CAMP?
Gym shorts (4-5 pairs)
Sweat socks (6-8 pairs)
Basketball sneakers (2 pairs)
Sleeping bag/bed sheets/blankets
Reusable water bottle
**it is recommended to put name tags/luggage tags on bags**
